Job Description

This full-time position will perform significant recruiting and admissions activities for transfer students at community colleges and partner schools in Missouri and surrounding states; such as meeting with prospective students, attending transfer fairs, scheduling transfer visits, webinars and chat sessions, and organizing events like Meet & Greets and transfer events.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide team lead responsibilities to various recruiting campaigns and projects, including efforts to increase and/or develop student diversity
  • Develop and implement student recruiting strategies and marketing techniques
  • Advise and assist prospective students in explanation of academic programs, admissions requirements, and transfer credit process
  • Represent the university at recruiting activities at undergraduate colleges and universities and high schools through presentation and at in-person and virtual events
  • Solicit prospective student names from undergraduate colleges and universities by maintaining relationships with transfer partner school contacts
  • Coordinate special admissions programs for special populations
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable school or college admissions requirements and university policies governing recruitment efforts
  • Organize campus activities to enhance campus visits of prospective students, colleges, universities, and/or high schools
  • Coordinate and participate in development and implementation of Admissions team communication strategies, including meeting with prospective student and their families
  • Assist with development of training programs and materials for recruitment team and Admissions staff; provide specific training presentation at staff retreats and related training sessions
  • Record, via electronic entry, communications to and from prospective students
  • Process transfer applications and create and maintain transfer course guides
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in student recruitment
  • Three or more years of experience in student recruitment, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional fields
  • Strong organizational skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate, high comfort level with technology and social media, and the ability to analyze and present data effectively
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $20.00-$20.91 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
