Job Summary
The photography and specialty media intern at the College of Pharmacy is a position built on creative freedom, strategic thinking, and process optimization.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to capture and edit content for the college in a variety of formats such as:
- Through the lens of a Nikon D850 DSLR Camera.
- Off your phone, to post and connect with our audiences across 7 different social media platforms.
- Using Adobe's Creative Suite and Canva.
- Using state of the art video equipment, YES – we have a drone!
For those with beginner-to-intermediate content creation skillsets, who are looking to build their portfolio and learn about a business from content capture to content delivery/impact: THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!
Responsibilities
While your heaviest responsibility will be in the photography realm, this internship will have plenty of opportunities to be involved in –
- Strategic Marketing & Communications discussions/brainstorms
- The design process for campaign asset creation
- Hands-on demos, and so much more! Objectives/Projects:
o Create and fill a new Library of Multi-Purpose images from inside and outside the College of Pharmacy Building, Univ. of Utah Health Campus, and main campus/ COP integrations.
o Provide unique images/ideas during the COP's website homepage refresh.
o Conduct COP Event and Headshot Photography, as Requested:
o Set-in-Stone Events
Alumni Golf Tournament: 6/17/24
New Student Orientation: 8/15/24
o Social Media Content Creation/Experimentation:
o On-Campus Student Interviews w/Summer semester
Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
o DSLR Camera Experience Preferred.
o Content Creation Experience for an Organization, Event, Project, or Influencer.
o Educational training in Marketing & Communications, Photography/Videography, Digital Audiences, or a similar industry.
o Great Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
o Willingness to be On-Campus & Travel Occasionally (within 30-45 min. of the College's building).
o Passion for Learning and Content Innovation.
